Detailed Close-Out and Post-Construction Services
You’ve spent years dreaming, designing, and fundraising for your church building. Now that construction is complete, we understand how excited you are to begin gathering in your new space.
But before your first service, there’s still a vital step in the building process—post-construction.
Out of excitement, many pastors overlook critical questions they need to know about their new building. During the close-out process, we think of all the questions so you don’t have to.
Our post-construction service here at Churches By Daniels includes:
- Punch list and final walkthrough
- Organization of close-out documents
- Overview of warranties and maintenance
Our 7-Step Close-Out Process
1. Final Inspection
Your architect gives you a certificate of occupancy and may offer a certificate of substantial completion when you can use your new church building for its intended purpose.
2. Punch List and Walkthrough
You and your construction manager walk through the building and create a punch list for contractors to complete.
3. Final Completion
Your construction manager verifies when construction is finished after the punch list is completed.
4. Owner Training
We explain how to use all your systems—including mechanical, audio, visual, and lighting features.
5. Close-Out Documents
We digitally share close-out documents with you—including as-built drawings, manuals, warranties, submittals, and contact information.
6. Ownership
We transfer ownership of the building to you.
7. Grand Opening
Time to celebrate! We love to participate in your grand opening event or first service.
