High-Tech Features and Dynamic Space for a Las Vegas Church

City Light Church in Las Vegas needed a new space as the congregation had outgrown its 7,000-square-foot leased space in a local shopping center. Both the interior and parking lot were overcrowded, which resulted in the church having to conduct six services every Sunday to accommodate its rapidly growing congregation. A lender and a long-term client referred Pastor Jabin Chavez to Churches by Daniels and our team began creating a plan for a modern, dynamic space for ministry in this hard-to-reach community.
High-Tech Details and Cohesive Indoor/Outdoor Space
As a nationally known speaker, Pastor Jabin has spoken on state-of-the-art stages all over the country. Through his travels, he collected ideas for how he wanted his new sanctuary to look. We paid special attention to the AVL aspects of the design while staying within the congregation’s budget. We added some impactful details such as an LED wall and incorporated lights into the worship space. These features elongate the platform while maximizing seating.
With its desert location, the church needed an outdoor space to provide additional options for fellowship and gathering. Our Churches by Daniels team created a cohesive plan that allowed the outdoor space to feel like an extension of the facility’s interior.
Working Within Local Building Codes
Because the site is located within the city of Las Vegas where square footage is limited, our team had to take extra care to design a facility that maximized space both inside the building and on the entire property. This included strategic placement of the building on the property.
We also had to work around other stringent Las Vegas city specifications, such as a 35-foot ceiling and a special-use permit to build a church on the land. We presented options to the church leadership so they could choose the design that met the needs of their congregation.
